"Even as a young boy, I always knew I wanted to become an Artist", declared Robles, who drew at a young age starting with his first subject, his mother, while she performed dentistry on a patient. Robles pursued his interest in the arts and completed his education at George Brown College of Applied Art, Toronto Canada.
After graduation, he went to the United States to manage two dental family practices. Both his mother and his sister are in the field of orthodontics. During the course of management, he continued his passion on drawing and painting, and steadily created works of art. He became a member of several art associations, including the exclusive Oil Painters of America, The Allied Artist of America and the California Art Club.
After 25 years of dental practice management, he decided to pursue his childhood dream full time and furthered his art education at The National Academy School of Fine Arts in New York City, considered to be one of the most prestigious art schools in the nation. An Academic Atelier approach to the art of painting, he specialized in the medium of oil and acrylic with an emphasis on the fundamental structure of drawing, composition, design and colors.
In 1999 Robles's childhood dream has now become a fulfilled reality. As a full time artist, he alternately divides his time spent on painting at his Los Angeles studio during winter and his New Jersey studio during the summer months. His paintings were entered in countless art juried exhibitions and garnered numerous awards. He has created several collection series, portrayed in a brilliant array of colors. His paintings now delightfully adorn the walls of private collectors and corporate offices throughout the country. |
